Formerly of the Vanuatu Information Centre where over the past two years he has been largely responsible for the globalization of Vanuatu’s Development Support Program (DSP), James recently joined the Vanuatu Investment Migration Bureau (VIMB) as Chief Executive.
Based between London and Asia, James will continue to develop the channels for distribution of the DSP and focus in particular on program process and delivery improvements.
With a consulting career in Asia spanning twenty plus years residing in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Bangkok, James has acquired an extensive understanding of issues surrounding global mobility, initially as the owner of a Hong Kong-headquartered executive search company (acquired by a Global top five firm), working with many multinational companies around the world.
James has a key role in developing strategic Investment-Migration Industry relationships on behalf of the DSP and in his capacity as a Trade Commissioner for Vanuatu, supports the Government in seeking greater opportunities internationally for Investment, bi-lateral trade and inbound tourism.
Prior to relocating to Asia in the mid-1990s, James spent time in a United Kingdom Government role specializing in bi-lateral relations between the UK and Central and Eastern Europe.
James is originally from the UK and a graduate of Brunel University (WLI) and the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.
